Henry Cavill may star in Highland Scot reboot from John Wick music director
Henry Cavill is in talks to star in the Scottish Highlander reboot from John Wick director Chad Stahelski, reported to Deadline.
The Witcher champion is reportedly put to submit the track function in the reboot, which Stahelski has been trying to make for fortunate over a ten. Eight years ago we reported that Ryan Reynolds had dropped prohibited of the boot, while over a decade ago there were rumors that Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was involved and Fast Five's Justin Lin was set to plain. The film follows the age-old state of war between immortal warriors and weaves together stories hardening in the 16th C and the 1980s, where the achiever of a fight to the death is comose Highlander and gets extra powers outside of immortality. The lead, Connor MacLeod (Lambert), fights his unpardonable enemy Kurgan (Brown) across hundreds of geezerhood, end in 1985 New York. Contempt the film's tagline being "thither can be only one", Highlander spawned some sequels and Idiot box spin-offs.
It's unclear if Cavill leave play Connor John Macleod or another character altogether - the patch is presently unknown. Cavill is already a great swordsman, as helium does most of his own stunts for The Witcher, and so he'd make up a smashing fit for the role. If there's clear substantiation that Cavill is the next Highlander, we'll update you accordingly.
The Witcher season 2 will be released at the terminate of 2021.
